The OptiX 155/622H(also named Metro1000)  is used in optical transmission system .
The OptiX 155/622H is a type of STM-1/STM-4/STM-16 case-shaped equipment .
The OptiX 155/622H can access multiple types of services and can be used at the access layer of metropolitan area networks (MANs) and local transmission networks to access VIP private lines, wireless base stations, and digital subscriber line access multiplexers (DSLAM).

1.Access of Multiple Services
The OptiX 155/622H can access multiple types of services and can be interconnected with wireless base stations and Ethernet switches.

2.Multiple Interfaces
The OptiX 155/622H provides multiple interface types for SDH services, PDH services, and Ethernet services.

3.Multiple Clock Sources for Synchronization

The OptiX 155/622H provides the following clock sources for synchronization: external clock sources, line clock sources, and tributary clock sources.

When working in locked mode, an OptiX 155/622H can select any of the following clock sources as the reference clock:

  • External 2048 kHz or 2048 kbit/s G.703 clock source

  • Clock source from an interface on a line board

  • Clock source from an interface on a tributary board

  • Clock source from a line or tributary interface on an SCB board

4.Configuration of Multiple Systems

The OptiX 155/622H has a capacity of 21.25 Gbit/s higher order full cross-connection or 5 Gbit/s lower order full cross-connection. It can be configured as multiple terminal multiplexers (TMs), add/drop multiplexers (ADMs), or multiple add/drop multiplexers (MADMs). It also supports service grooming and protection among these systems. In this way, the networking capability and the service grooming capability among networks are significantly improved.

5.Flexible Networking

The OptiX 155/622H can construct networks flexibly. It supports point-to-point, chain, ring, hub, and mesh networks.

When the OptiX 155/622H functions as the access equipment, it can construct hybrid networks with Huawei Metro and OSN equipment series. The OptiX 155/622H can also construct hybrid networks with third-party equipment.

6.Various Protection Schemes

The OptiX 155/622H provides a comprehensive network protection system for all service types. In addition to SDH service protection schemes, it also provides protection for the data link layer of Ethernet services, thus realizing the hierarchical protection for services.

7.Uniform NMS

The OptiX 155/622H is uniformly managed by the OptiX iManager T2000 transmission network management system (hereafter referred to as the T2000).

The T2000 provides management, maintenance and test functions for the entire optical transmission system in terms of faults, performance, configuration, and security. The T2000 also provides the end-to-end management function that is required by users. The T2000 improves the network quality and reduces maintenance costs, thus ensuring reasonable utilization of network resources.

8.Power and Environment Monitoring

The OptiX 155/622H can monitor the power and environment.

The OptiX 155/622H provides –48 V/–60 V DC and +24 V DC power interfaces and can detect the input voltage and the voltage status (severe undervoltage, undervoltage, overvoltage, or severe overvoltage).

If the 220 V assembly chassis is used, the OptiX 155/622H can access 220 V/110 V AC power.

The OptiX 155/622H also provides the alarm input and alarm output functions. The alarm input function can remotely monitor the environment of users, and the alarm output function can realize centralized monitoring over all equipment alarms when the OptiX 155/622H is connected to the centralized alarm cabinet.

9.SSM Management

The OptiX 155/622H can manage the synchronization status message (SSM) of the synchronous clock.

This function provides the following advantages for the transmission network:

  • Prevents the timing loop from forming when the clock switching occurs in the network.

  • When the traced synchronization timing signal degrades, before the degradation threshold-crossing is detected, the downstream node can switch the input clock source or change to the holdover mode in a timely manner. In this way, the quality of the clock synchronization in the entire network is improved.

  • Simplifies the planning of the clock synchronization network.

10.Hybrid Networking with Third-Party Equipment

  • Extended DCC Bytes

The OptiX 155/622H uses D4–D12 bytes of the multiplex section overhead bytes as the physical channel to process the management information of Huawei equipment, and uses D1–D3 bytes of the regenerator section overhead bytes to process the management information of third-party equipment.

  • Transparent Transmission of DCC Bytes

The OptiX 155/622H uses D1–D3 bytes of the regenerator section overhead bytes as the physical channel to process the management information of Huawei equipment, and uses D4–D12 bytes of the multiplex section overhead bytes as one or multiple channels to transparently transmit the management information of third-party equipment.

  • Management Information Transmission Through the External Clock Interface

When the D1–D3 bytes of the third-party equipment cannot transmit the management information of the OptiX 155/622H, use the external clock interface of the OptiX 155/622H.

  • IP over DCC

The OptiX 155/622H supports the IP over DCC. When the OptiX 155/622H, third-party equipment, and the T2000 all support the IP, the network management information can be transparently transmitted through the IP over DCC.

  • OSI over DCC (TP4)

The OptiX 155/622H supports the OSI over DCC (TP4). When the OptiX 155/622H, third-party equipment, and T2000 all support OSI over DCC (TP4), the network management information can be transparently transmitted through the OSI over DCC (TP4).

  • SNMP

The OptiX 155/622H supports the simple network management protocol (SNMP), and can realize uniform network management when equipment of multiple vendors constructs a network.
